Below are some of our general dentistry services.
Exams, X-Rays, and Cleanings.
We start by doing a complete exam of your teeth and gums. To get the complete picture we may need to have x-rays taken. This helps us review your oral health beneath the surface.
We highly recommend having your x-rays done every year and cleanings done every 6 months. Using the latest technology and tools and providing comforts like TV while we clean your teeth help make your visit enjoyable. During your exam we may suggest a deep cleaning treatment, this is typically recommended when gum disease is present.
Deep teeth cleanings aren't always necessary, however when they are we make sure it's as pleasant an experience as possible. Designed to stop periodontal or gum disease, deep cleanings help ensure our Ann Arbor MI patients have beautiful smiles. If you look after your teeth and visit your dentist for a cleaning and checkup every six months, you can typically avoid deep cleanings.
Metal Free General Dentistry Procedures
Your health is our top priority, so we have chosen to never use metal in any of our dental structures. Not using metal has many benefits, and while the risk is small, there are concerns over allergic reactions and metal toxicity, so we just avoid it altogether. This is part of our commitment to you, we want you to feel comfortable and confident that you have received the highest level of care possible.
On our dental services list are several cosmetic dentistry procedures. All new patients get free teeth whitening however, you may want to get your teeth whitened more than once a year. That’s why we offer professional teeth whitening services anytime you need it.
We also offer services that are both cosmetic and functional like all porcelain and ceramic crowns. Crowns help teeth that have been damaged. Our commitment to being metal free extends to our crowns (they are porcelain).
Though it sounds serious, a root canal is a routine procedure designed to relieve tooth pain and help save an existing tooth. It involves removing the decay, reshaping the tooth’s roots and then placing a filling to seal the gap.
In some cases, you may need an emergency root canal procedure. In these rare cases, we work very hard to move our patient schedule around and accommodate you as soon as possible.
We use tooth-colored composite materials that blend in seamlessly with your surrounding teeth. The result is a natural-looking smile with no telltale signs that you’ve had any work done. This material is strong, hygienic, and more durable than metal, which prevents the tooth from cracking over time.
