Dentures

Dentures at our local dentist office near you in Ann Arbor & Waterford, Michigan

As we age, our face tends to sink in and sag noticeably. Often, people turn to facelifts, and dermal fillers to restore a youthful appearance. However, there may be underlying structural challenges that need to be addressed as well.

Getting a whole new smile is exhilarating, but it can also be a bit scary. You’ve had your teeth for a lifetime, after all! The Dental House team will guide you through this process step by step. We can even provide a wax mock-up of what your new smile will look like!

Are Dentures Right for You?

Wrinkles aren’t the only things that make us look older. Missing teeth, shrinking gums, and bone loss all contribute to facial changes that add on the years. As we lose bone, it causes us to look like we’re in a permanent frown, and try as we might, we are unable to turn that frown upside down.

You may have considered dentures before, but you might have been concerned about them not looking natural or feeling uncomfortable. The good news is that with ageless dentures, your smile will appear full of natural teeth and with gum colored bases you can have a youthful smile that takes years off your appearance!.

Complete Dentures

A complete set of dentures (or full dentures) are completely removable, and you can elect to have just the upper or lower set of teeth replaced. However, they are bulkier than other types of dentures, and they may have to be relined occasionally.

Removable Partial Dentures

The concept behind removable partial dentures is the same as a complete set. However, instead of a mouth full of new teeth, you’d be fitted with only a few teeth to replace the missing ones.  So if you only need an upper denture that’s all you will have to get! There are a few types of partial dentures, make sure to ask us which is best for you.

At Dental House we make sure your removable partial dentures look natural and help aid your ability to speak correctly and chew properly.  If you have any questions about partial dentures please call us today.

Flexible Dentures

Flexible dentures use a new technology that allows these prosthetics to be lightweight, and therefore bendable and flexible. They won’t break or shatter if dropped, and they also don’t require metal clasps or adhesive to stay in place.  However, they aren’t for everyone. So make sure to ask your dentist which set is correct for you.

In-House Lab

One of the most frustrating aspects of getting dentures is the time it takes to get them fitted and placed. However, our in-house lab means that we can act quickly and perform adjustments, often on the same day as your appointment.
